The Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses, APHON, is a national professional organization for pediatric hematology/oncology nurses.  Its members are dedicated to promoting optimal nursing care for children and adolescents with cancer and blood disorders and their families.

The Texas Gulf Coast local APHON chapter serves pediatric hematology and oncology nurses from the greater Houston area from three major children’s hospitals. Texas Children’s Hospital, Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital, and MD Anderson Cancer Center Children’s Hospital. In Spring 2026 Texas Children’s Hospital Cancer and Hematology departments will be joining forces with MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Center to become the Kinder Cancer Center. We host monthly-bimonthly educational meetings for our chapter members and other interested nurses. Our first local educational symposium will be held Summer 2026. We welcome you to browse our site and hope that you will find the resources helpful.  This site will be updated as changes occur, so be sure to come and visit often!
